Ingredients
Sweet Potato - 2 (big)
Chopped Onion - 1 ( big)
Chopped Ginger - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - a pinch
Salt to taste
Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
Hing/ Asafoetida - a pinch
To Temper
Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad Dhal - 1/2 tsp
Dry Red Chilli - 1
Curry Leaves - few
Grated Coconut- 2 tsp
Method
Wash the sweet potatoes and peel the skin and chop them.
Next take oil in a frying pan and heat it. Add the tempering ingredients and fry for few seconds. Followed by add in slit green chilies and curry leaves. Then add in finely chopped onion and ginger. Add Asafoetida, chilli powder and turmeric powder.
Add in grated coconut, coriander leaves and mix well for a minute. Switch off the stove. Serve it as snacks. Or serve it with hot steaming rice, kuzhambu sadam or chapathi. .
