Mixed Herbs and Spices Detox Drink

Ingredients

Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Hing - 1/4 tsp
Peppercorns -1/2 tsp
Coriander Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon Sticks - 1 inch
Ajwain - 1/4 tsp
Cloves - 2
Crushed Garlic - 2 pods
Crushed Ginger - a small piece
Vettiver - few
Basil Leaves / Dried Basil - 1/2 tsp
Dried Rosemary Leaves  - 1/2 tsp
Dried Oregano Leaves - 1/2 tsp 
Mint Leaves - few 
Water - 1 to 2 liter 
Lemon Juice -1
Honey - 1 to 2 tsp 

Method 
Bring water to boil. Add all the ingredients, mix well and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.

Once it done, strain well. Add lemon juice and honey, then mix well.

Take this detox drink and stay healthy!!!

Rosemary Detox Drink




Ingredients 

Rosemary Leaves/ Dried Rosemary  -  1 tsp 
Sliced Ginger - few
Lemon Juice - 2 tsp

Bring water to boil. Add dried rosemary leaves, ginger slices and boil it for 5 to 7 minutes.

Chinese Style Peanut Snack

Try out this easy to make, and tasty peanut dish. It tastes great on its own and goes great with anything.



Ingredients
Uncooked Peanuts with skin
Olive / Vegetable Oil - 3 tsp
Sea Salt to taste

Method

Dampen peanuts with water. Then put somewhere to dry.

Heat oil in a pan and dried peanuts on low flame, stir constantly.

When peanuts color change add sea salt.

The amount of salt can vary depending on taste but this dish is supposed to salty, so add plenty of salt, at least enough to cover every peanut.

Remove from heat, drain and put into bowl.

Set aside for 20 minutes uncovered, then serve!

Oregano Detox Drink

Sea Salt - 1/2 tsp 
Freshly Ground Black Pepper - 1/4 tsp 



Method 

Cut avocados in half lengthwise, remove pits, scrape the flesh of the avocado out with a spoon. Place in a medium bowl with a flat bottom and mash avocados with a potato masher to a chunky consistency. 



Squeeze 3 Tbsp of fresh lime juice directly over avocados while prepping the rest of your ingredients. Add diced tomatoes, onion, and chopped cilantro. 

Season with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Stir just until combined and serve.

Popcorn Chicken

Simple and tasty chicken fry recipe. Kids can prepare and eat well. My son made this yummy dish. It’s very easy to prepare. Enjoy your popcorn chicken with your family!!!

Ingredients

Diced Chicken Breast - 1 lb
All Purpose Flour/Maida - 1 Cup 
Corn Flour - 1/2 Cup 
Soy Sauce - 1 tbsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp 
Salt to taste 
Crushed Black Pepper as required 
Egg - 1
Water - 1/4 Cup
Oil for fry



Method 

Take a big bowl to marinate. Add the ingredients one by one and mix well.

Let it marinate for at least 1 to 2 hours.

Heat oil in a pan. Add the marinated chicken pieces one by one.

Fry well and keep it aside. Remove the excess oil in paper towel.

Crispy and tasty popcorn chicken is ready to serve!

Vettiver Detox Drink

Potato Tawa Fry


This is simple and tasty dish. It’s really easy to prepare. This roasted potatoes goes very well with steamed rice/ sambar rice/ soup rice/ curd rice/Chapatti/roti


 


Ingredients 
(To boil and strain)

Sliced Potato - 3 ( medium)
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp 
Oil - 1 tsp 
Salt to taste 

For Masala ( to marinate)
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp 
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp 
Fresh Ground Pepper - 1/2 tsp 
Garam Masala -1/2 tsp 
Hing - 1/8 tsp 
Salt to taste 
Oil - 1 tsp

To Temper 
Oil  - 1 tsp 
Mustard Seeds -1/2 tsp 
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp 
Urad Dhal - 1 tsp 
Finely Chopped Onion - 1 (big)

Method 
Heat oil in a pan and add the tempering ingredients and fry for few seconds and keep aside.

Wash and peel off the potatoes and make it as rounded slices. 

Bring water to boil. Add salt, turmeric powder, oil and potato slices.

Let it cook 90% or 5 minutes and then strain the excess water.

In a mixing bowl add the marinated spices along with oil and mix well. And the add the boiled potato pieces and mix well. Let it be for 5 to 10 minutes.

Meanwhile heat oil in a Tawa. Add the marinated potatoes and roast well.  Then add the tempered onion mix and tossed with roasted potatoes.

Serve this tasty potato Tawa Fry with Sambar/curd rice!






Carrot Detox Drink



Ingredients 
Sliced Carrot - 1 (big)
Sliced Cucumber - 1 ( small)
Lemon Wedges - few
Water - 1 glass 
Ice Cubes - few
Curry Leaves/ Mint Leaves - few
Lemon Juice - 2 tsp 

Method 

In a glass add carrot slices, cucumber sliced and lemon slices.

Add a glass of water and some ice cubes.

Add fresh mint leaves/curry leaves and lemon juice. Then mix well.

Mac & Cheese Pasta


Due to lockdown, my son started to cook in his way. My kids like pasta very much. So he made it for themselves. I hope this recipe can try any kids easily. It’s a simple and tasty dish. Enjoy well!!!




Ingredients

  • Macaroni - 1 box
  • Milk - 1 Cup
  • Butter - ½ cup
  • Cheddar Cheese - 
    2 cups
     
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Finely Chopped fresh parsley

  • Method 

  • In a large pot on medium-high heat, bring water to boil.
  • Add salt, oil  and mix well. Then add pasta and cook well.
  • Once it done, switch off the flame.  
  • Strain water using colander. Then rinse with cold water and keep aside. 
  • In the same pan, heat the milk to a simmer. 
  • Once the pastas are cooked, turn off the heat. Add in the butter, cheddar, salt, and pepper. 
  • Fold these ingredients with the pasta until the cheese and butter melt into the milk to create a thick sauce. 


  • Sprinkle with parsley and serve! Enjoy!

Raw Banana Tawa Fry

This is a simple and tasty fry recipe. This goes very well with curd rice, soup rice, kuzhambu rice, sambar rice and all variety rices.

Ingredients
Raw Bananas - 2
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 and 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
Oil for Shallow Fry
Chopped Coriander Leaves - few
Tamarind Water - 2 tsp
Salt to taste

Method 

Cut head, tailpiece of the raw banana and peel the outer skin. Then cut it into thin round slices.


Bring water to boil, add raw banana pieces along with salt, turmeric powder and a tsp of oil. B let it boil for 5 to 7 minutes and strain well.


Place the  half cooked banana in a bowl, add all the ingredients except oil and mix thoroughly. Let it marinate for 15 to 30 mins.


Heat a tawa, add a tsp of oil. Once oil gets heated add raw banana one by one. Do not overcrowd. 


Add little oil to the raw banana. Cook on low flame on both sides until crisp. Raw banana tawa fry is ready.

Homemade Pizza Sauce



Pizza sauce is tomato based sauce prepared by blenching tomatoes and spiced with herbs and garlic. essentially it is used as a spread for the pizza base before topping and baking pizza.


It’s typically prepared with red ripe tomatoes and spiced with basil leaves and italian herbs. depending upon the spice level, it is even mixed with chili flakes.

Ingredients

Ripped Tomatoes - 6

Finely Chopped Onion - 1/2 (big)
Finely Chopped Garlic - 3 cloves
Finely Chopped Basil - 2 tbsp
Oregano - 1/2 tsp 
Chilli Flakes - 1/2 tsp 
Tomato Sauce - 1 tbsp
Sugar - 1 tsp 
Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 tsp 
Butter - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste 
Oil - 2 tsp

Method

Wash tomatoes and slit x on bottom of tomatoes. Add the tomatoes (slitted at bottom) into boiling water and blanch.


Close the vessel and boil for 3-4 minutes or till the skin starts to leave from tomatoes.


Peel the skin of tomatoes once they cooled completely. Then take 3 peeled tomatoes and blend to smooth purees.

Chop other 3 tomatoes discarding the seeds.Transfer to the plate and keep aside.

Heat oil in a non stick tawa or heavy bottomed pan.
add chopped garlic and saute till they turn slightly golden brown.


Saute chopped onions till they change color. Then add chopped - deseeded tomatoes and cook completely.


Mash in between so that it turns mushy soon.
also add prepared tomato puree.


Mix well and add basil, sugar, chilli powder, oregano, chilli flakes and salt. Mix well and get the sauce to a boil.
Cover and simmer the sauce for atleast 5 minutes or till the sauce turns thick. Add tomato sauce and butter.
Finally mix well and pizza sauce is ready to prepare pizzas or pastas.
