Quick Orange Chicken

This is very simple and quick orange chicken dish. In this dish, boneless chicken is marinated with orange juice, soya sauce and cornstarch. Then fried in oil and sautéed with other sauces. Shanu wanted to eat something yummy and quick dish. It takes little time only for the marinations. This is easy to prepare and serve quickly with fried rice or steamed white rice/ brown rice🍛 



Instead of rice vinegar and hoisin sauce you can use sesame oil. If you have all the ingredients, your kids can also prepare this dish easily. Soon I will post Panda Express style orange chicken 🐔🍊 My both kids addicted to orange chicken and honey chicken. So he made this yummy dish. 

Ingredients 

For Marinate 

Boneless Chicken Breast ( Cubes) - 1 lb

Orange Juice - 2 tbsp 

Soya Sauce - 1/4 Cup 

Cornstarch - 1/4 Cup 

Salt to taste 

For Sauce 

Orange Juice - 3/4 Cup 

Oil - 2 tbsp 

Soya Sauce - 1 tbsp 

Brown Sugar - 2 tbsp 

Cornstarch - 1 tbsp 

Rice Vinegar - 1 tbsp 

Hoisin Sauce - 1 tbsp 

Method 

Take a clean bowl, add the ingredients which are under for marinate and mix well. Let it marinate at least 1 hour.

In a pan, heat oil. Add the marinated chicken pieces. Cook all sides until golden brown.

Add the ingredients for sauce, and bring to boil. mixing continuously, until mixture thickens.

Once it done, switch off the flame and serve with rice and veggies.
