Ingredients
Fenugreek Leaves/Methi Leaves- 1 Cup
Chopped Onion- 2
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Bay Leaf - 1
Cinnamon Sticks - 1 inch
Cloves - 4
Cumin Seeds/jeera- 1/2 tbsp
Peppercorn-1/2 tbsp
To Marinate
Chicken - 1 lb
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
For Masala
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Crushed Coriander Seeds - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Garam Masala- 1/4 tbsp
Yogurt/ Curd -1/2 Cup
Method
In a bowl add chicken pieces, salt, ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder and mix well. Let it be there for at least 30 minuets.
In a separate bowl, add the ingredients which are under for masala then mix well and keep aside.
Heat oil and ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves and peppercorns then sauté it for few seconds.
Then add the chopped onions and fry until it becomes soft and slight brown in color. Once it done, add the masala and mix it then cook on high flame until it releases oil.
Now add the chicken pieces, methi leaves and mix well then close the lid and cook for 5 minuets on high flame.
Reduce the heat and cook the chicken until gets right consistent on low flame. One it done switch off the flame and serve hot.
