Fenugreek Seeds Curry

This fenugreek seed curry also known as Vendhaya Kuzhambu (in Tamil) is a well-known dish among Tamil people. If you have never tried spicy fenugreek seed curry recipe, this is the time to give it a try. I am sure you will like it.
Ingredients
Fenugreek Seeds - 1 tsp 
Chopped Pearls/Small Onions - 1 Cup
Salt to taste 
Sesame Oil- 4 tsp
For Masala (To Grind)
Tamarind - lemon sized ball
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Powder- 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
To Temper
Mustard Seeds-1/2 tsp 
Cumin Seeds/Jeera- 1/2 tsp 
Curry Leaves- few
Dry Red Chilli- 2
Method 
In a blender add the ingredients which are under for masala, then grind it as fine paste. Heat oil in a pan add the chopped onions with little salt and fry well.

Now add the ground masala and mix well. Then add required water and mix well. Let’s cook until get thick consistency. 


Heat oil in a pan, add the fenugreek seeds and fry for few seconds. Then transfer this into curry and let it for 2 minuets. Then switch off the flame.


In the same pan, heat oil and add the tempering ingredients one by one and switch into fenugreek seeds curry.


This goes very well with steamed white rice, papad and any side dishes.
