Capsicum Chutney

It’s a simple and tasty chutney which goes very well with Idli, Dosa and Roti. The sweet and spicy taste of capsicums gives a rich and beautiful texture to this chutney. 

moreover, the mustard seeds and red chillies seasoning gives a crunchy effect to this amazing chutney.
Ingredients

Chopped Capsicums - 1 Cup
Chopped Onion - 1 (big)
Chopped Tomato - 1 (big)
Dry Red Chilli - 4
Peeled Garlic Pods- 2
Urad Dhal - 1 tbsp
Channa Dhal - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil -  2 tbsp


To Temper
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Urad Dhal - 1/2 tbsp 
Broken Dry Red Chilli - 1
Chopped Coriander Leaves - few

Method

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add channa Dhal, Urad Dhal, red chilli and fry for a min and keep aside.

In the same pan, heat remaining oil. Then add onions, garlic then fry for few minutes. And then add chopped capsicum and fry until raw smell goes well.

Now add chopped tomatoes and fry until it becomes mushy. Let it cool down completely and grind it as fine paste. Then switch into serving bowl.

Heat another tbsp of oil in a pan, add the tempering ingredients one by one and sauté it for few seconds. And then transfer this into chutney.


This goes very well with idli and dosa.
