Poha/Aval Kesari

Poha Kesari is one of the simplest and easiest sweet or kesari. This sweet can be made during gokulashtami because krishna is fond of aval. 
Try this simple and yummy recipe. I hope you’ll definitely enjoy with this tasty desserts.
Ingredients
Poha/Aval – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 ½ cups
Salt – a pinch
Fried cashew & Raisins – ¼ cup
Saffron – a pinch
Food Color – a pinch
Ghee – ¼ tsp
Milk – ½ cup
Water as needed
Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
Method
In a small bowl, take 2 tsp of warm milk and add a pinch of saffron. Then keep it for few minutes.
Rinse poha well and set aside for few minutes to dry. Then take half amount of aval and grind it as a coarse powder.
In a pan, heat 3 tsp of ghee and add raisins & cashew nuts then fry it for few minutes. Then keep it aside.
In the same pan, add poha and roast it until nice aroma comes and set aside.
In a kadai, heat water.  Once it starts boiling add cardamom powder, poha, a pinch of salt and le it turn soft.
Then add sugar and food color. The sugar will start melting then add ghee and keep stirring.
Now add soaked saffron milk, fried raisins and switch off the flame.
