Chicken Soup

It’s a healthy, tasty and nutritious soup. I have added Indian spices. This is good for common cold, fever and cough. If you want to have spicy and healthy soup, you can go with this dish. Enjoy…
Ingredients
Chicken Pieces – 300 g
Chopped Red Onions – 1 cup
Chopped Tomato – 3 (big)
Chopped Coriander Leaves – few
Sliced Green Chilli – 4
Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
Coconut Milk – 3 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 1 tsp
To Temper
Cumin Seeds – ½ tsp
Bay Leaf – 1
Cinnamon Sticks – 2
Cardamom – 1
Cloves – 3
Dry Red Chilli – 2
Oil – 1 tsp
Dry Roast & Grind
Cumin Seeds – ½ tsp
Fennel Seeds – ½ tsp
Garlic – 2 cloves
Peppercorn - ¼ tsp
Oil – ½ tsp
Method
Wash and clean the chicken pieces and keep it aside.
In a pressure cooker, heat oil. Add the tempering items one by one which are under “to temper” and saute it for few seconds.
Add chopped onions with little salt, green chilli and fry till it becomes mushy.
Now add chopped tomatoes and fry until get this mashed well.
Add chicken pieces and saute it well. No add ginger garlic paste then mix it well.
Add turmeric powder, pepper powder, fennel powder. Then add required water (5 cups) with half of coriander leaves and close the lid then cook till 5 to 7 whistles comes out.
Once it done, switch off the flame. In a pan, heat remaining oil and add the ingredients which are under “to dry roast & grind” then saute it for few min. Let it cool down.
Then grind it as a coarse powder. Add this into chicken soup. Mix well. Add coconut milk and give a mix and switch off the flame.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
