Pazha Bajji

It is a south Indian tea time snack. This is very popular in Kerala. Kids love this dish. Normally my son doesn’t like to have banana separately. But I’ll feed him without his knowledge.
Most of the time he didn’t guess what was inside. So I took this as my advantage… Finally I’m happy about him. This should be tasty and simple to prepare...
Ingredients
Banana – 2
Maida/All Purpose Flour – 1 cup
Jaggery Powder – ½ cup
Elachi/Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
Ajwain Seeds – a pinch
Salt – a pinch
Yellow Color Powder – a pinch
Sugar Coarse Powder – 3 tsp (Optional)
Baking Soda – a pinch
Method
In a bowl, add the ingredients one by one except banana with water and mix well.
While mixing make sure this maida batter should not have any lumps. Beat well. And keep it aside for 15 mins.
Cut the banana into thin slices and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a ban, and take banana slices dip into maida batter and deep fry it in oil.
Once it done, take it out and remove the excess oil.
Serve hot with tea or coffee.
