Spicy Yogurt Chicken Fry


Yogurt marinating is one of my favorite methods because it really helps to keep the chicken juicy!
Spicy Yogurt Chicken Fry recipe is super flavorful, tender, juicy and delicious.


Ingredients

Chicken - 1lb.

Yogurt/Curd -1 cup

Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp

Chilli Powder - 1 tsp

Coriander Powder - 2 tsp

Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp

Garamond Masala- 1/4 tsp

Chopped Onion- 1 ( big)

Chopped Cilantro- few

Almond - 10

Salt to taste

Oil - 3 tsp

To Temper

Clove - 2

Cinnamon sticks- 1 inch

Cardamom- 2

Poppy Seeds - few

Chopped coriander leaves - few

Method

In a bowl, add chicken pieces, half amount of yogurt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, salt and a tsp of oil. Then marinate everything and keep it for 30 minuets or 1 hour.

In a blender add the almonds along with remaining yogurt and grind as fine paste and then keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan, add the tempering ingredients one by one and sauté it for few seconds. Then add chopped onions and fry until get slight brown in color.

Add the marinated chicken and fry for few minutes. Add the almond paste and mix well then close the lid and cook until it gets dry or till the water gets evaporated.

Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
