This is a simple and tasty fry recipe. This goes very well with curd rice, soup rice, kuzhambu rice, sambar rice and all variety rices.
Ingredients
Raw Bananas - 2
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 and 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
Oil for Shallow Fry
Chopped Coriander Leaves - few
Tamarind Water - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Method
Cut head, tailpiece of the raw banana and peel the outer skin. Then cut it into thin round slices.
Bring water to boil, add raw banana pieces along with salt, turmeric powder and a tsp of oil. B let it boil for 5 to 7 minutes and strain well.
Place the half cooked banana in a bowl, add all the ingredients except oil and mix thoroughly. Let it marinate for 15 to 30 mins.
Heat a tawa, add a tsp of oil. Once oil gets heated add raw banana one by one. Do not overcrowd.
Add little oil to the raw banana. Cook on low flame on both sides until crisp. Raw banana tawa fry is ready.
