Potato Tawa Fry


This is simple and tasty dish. It’s really easy to prepare. This roasted potatoes goes very well with steamed rice/ sambar rice/ soup rice/ curd rice/Chapatti/roti


 


Ingredients 
(To boil and strain)

Sliced Potato - 3 ( medium)
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp 
Oil - 1 tsp 
Salt to taste 

For Masala ( to marinate)
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp 
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp 
Fresh Ground Pepper - 1/2 tsp 
Garam Masala -1/2 tsp 
Hing - 1/8 tsp 
Salt to taste 
Oil - 1 tsp

To Temper 
Oil  - 1 tsp 
Mustard Seeds -1/2 tsp 
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp 
Urad Dhal - 1 tsp 
Finely Chopped Onion - 1 (big)

Method 
Heat oil in a pan and add the tempering ingredients and fry for few seconds and keep aside.

Wash and peel off the potatoes and make it as rounded slices. 

Bring water to boil. Add salt, turmeric powder, oil and potato slices.

Let it cook 90% or 5 minutes and then strain the excess water.

In a mixing bowl add the marinated spices along with oil and mix well. And the add the boiled potato pieces and mix well. Let it be for 5 to 10 minutes.

Meanwhile heat oil in a Tawa. Add the marinated potatoes and roast well.  Then add the tempered onion mix and tossed with roasted potatoes.

Serve this tasty potato Tawa Fry with Sambar/curd rice!
