Pazham Bonda


This is very easy and tasty snack. It is very popular in Kerala. It's a perfect tea time snack.
Here is the recipe. Hope you can enjoy to have this simple and yummy snack with your family and friends.

Ingredients 
Wheat Flour - 1 cup 
Maida/All Purpose Flour – 1/2 cup
Mashed Bananas - 3
Jaggery/Sugar/Brown sugar/Cane sugar – 1 cup
Baking Powder - a pinch
Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
Oil - to deep fry
Salt – a pinch

Method

Combine all the ingredients above into dough.

Set aside to rest for about 3-4 hours. You can leave it for longer if you have the time as well.

Once rested, divide the dough and roll it into tennis sized balls. You can make them smaller if you like as well.

Heat a large/deep-bottomed wok with the oil for up to 2 minutes.

 Lower the flame and place the rolled balls carefully into the oil and deep fry till golden brown.

Drain and place the bonda on a clean kitchen towel.

Serve hot with tea or coffee.
