Spicy Bread Bajji

It’s a very simple & easy snack. Most of snacks definitely addicted with this one. Especially for winder season it’s work out well. If you don’t have chutney, just feel free to use tomato sauce or ranch.

For diet checker, if you are a very health conscious then you don’t have to deep fry it. Keep it on pan, and toss it well on both sides.

In India, we can get it from roadside shops. This goes well with coconut / mint / coriander / red chilli chutney / tomato sauce / ranch…

Ingredients
Bread slices – 4
Besan / Chick pea – ½ cup
Red Chilli Powder – 1 ½ tsp
Asafoetida – ½ tsp
Carom Seeds (or) Omam – ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for deep fry
Method
In a medium bowl, add besan, chilli powder, asafoetida, and carom seeds, salt with water. Then mix it well.

To avoid lump, you can grind it everything together in a mixer grinder. This batter should be too thin or thick. It should be in right consistency.

Now cut all the bread slices as you wish, and keep it in a separate bowl. Then dip the bread pieces in mixture, so that it gets the coating on all sides.

Heat oil in a pan, when its hot deep fry this bread slices and transferred into serving bowl.

You could use paper towel to remove excess oil from this bajji. The hot and spicy bread bajji is ready to serve.
