Chicken Rice

It is an easy to preparing this chicken rice which taste delicious and are healthy too. The rice is soaked and then cooked with all spices in pressure cooker. After whistles your chicken rice is ready to eat.

I hope this recipe will help to working women & bachelors. This goes well with fried chicken.





Ingredients

Basmati Rice – 2 cups
Chicken – ½ kg
Sliced Onions – 2 (Big)
Chopped Tomato – 2
Chopped Green Chilli – 3
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin Powder – ½ tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Bay Leaf -1
Cinnamon – 1
Oil – 1 tsp
Ghee – 1 tsp
Water – 3 cups
Salt – as per taste

Method

Wash the rice and soaked for 30 min. Then clean and wash the chicken. And then cut into small pieces.

In a pressure cooker, heat ghee. When ghee starts melts, add cumin seeds, bay leaf & cinnamon.

When it starts to splutter, add green chilli & onion fry on a low flame for about 5 min.

Once the onion gets slight brown colour, add salt & chicken pieces. Now add ginger garlic paste. And keep fry on a low flame until the chicken is change in colour & half cooked.

Then add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder & garam masala. Add 1 tsp of oil. Then mix it well.

Stir continuously on a low flame until the raw smell goes well. After 5 min, pour the rice with water and mix well. This helpful to spread all the ingredients are evenly.

Pressure cook for 3 whistles & 5 min on simmer.





When the pressure is released you can serve hot chicken rice with any fried chicken.
