Pepper Tofu Gravy

It is an extremely delicious dish that's quick and easy to make.You will definitely surprise yourself with this one. You can try this recipe for preparing paneer. You can moderate this by reducing their quantity a little. This goes well with chapatti, naan and roti…




Ingredients

Diced Tofu – 2 cups
Onion – 1 ½ cup
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Pepper – 10
Cloves – 4
Cinnamon – 2
Bay Leaf – 1
Cardamom – 2
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Pepper Powder – 2 tsp
Curd – 1 cup
Garam Masala – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Fresh Cream – ¼ cup
Coriander Leaves – few
Oil – 3 tsp
Salt

Method

Take the tofu and clean up with paper towel. It removes the excess water from tofu. And then cut into small pieces.

Heat oil in a pan; add tofu pieces and fry till becomes slight golden brown in colour. Then keep it aside in a plate.

In the same pan, heat oil, add ginger garlic paste & onions and fry till it becomes mushy. Transfer into separate bowl. Let it cool down. Then grind it well.

Heat oil in a kadai, add the following spices one bye one (pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf, and cloves)

Once it pooped out, and then adds the onion masala and fry for 2 min. Then add the curd and keep cook for another 3 min.

Now add the chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt with tofu pieces. Then add 1 cup of water and keep cook for about 10 min.

Now add pepper powder & fresh cream and keep cook for 2 min. Add the chopped coriander leaves into this gravy.

Now switch off the flame and transfer into serving bowl.
