Green Peas Curry with Rice Flour

It is a tangy and spicy dish. This dish is prepared with minimal ingredients.

It is another simple and easy dish. We can prepare this tasty dish within short period of time.

This goes well with chapatti, roti, dosa, idli, steamed rice and bread…
Ingredients
Soaked Green Peas – 2 cups
Chopped Onions – 1 cup
Chopped Tomatoes – ½ cup
Dry Red Chilli – 5
Grated Coconut -1/2 cup
Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
Rice Powder – 3 tsp
Salt to taste
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
(To Temper)
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Curry Leaves – few
Chopped Coriander Leaves – few
Oil – 1 tsp
Method
Pressure cooks the green peas with salt and turmeric adding sufficient water till 5 whistles comes out.

In a pan, heat oil. Add and dry roast the coconut and the red chilli and grind to dry powder.

Heat oil and season with mustard and jeera and curry leaves.

Add onions and fry it gets translucent. Then add chopped tomatoes and fry till it becomes mushy. Then add ground masala and sauté for few min.

Now add the cooked green peas and toss in heat for few minutes.
Then add the rice flour and mix well. Add the chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame. Serve with hot chapatti.
