Prawn | Shrimp Kuzhambu

 It’s another flavorful, village style yummy shrimp kuzhambu where I learned from my Amma. This goes very well with steamed white rice/ idli/ dosa/ chapatti/ parotta / bread. It’s very simple to prepare. You will feel amazing taste when you have this kuzhambu with sesame oil. Give a try and share your feedback!


Ingredients 

To Marinate 

Shrimp | Prawn - 15 numbers (250 g)

Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp 

Chilli Powder - 1 tsp 

Lemon Juice - 1/2 (lemon)

Salt - as required 

For Shrimp Curry 

Chopped Onion - 1 (medium)

Chopped Tomato - 1 (medium)

Chopped Green Chilli - 3 (broken)

Chopped Potato - 1 ( medium )

Chopped Eggplant (Brinjal) - 1/2 Cup 

Chopped Bottle Gourd - 1/2 Cup 

Chopped Drumsticks - 1/2 Cup

Tamarind Water - 1/2 Cup 

Salt - as required 

Curry Powder - 1/4 Cup 

Rice Water - 2 Cups 

Water - 1/2 to 1 Cup (optional)

To Taste 

Chopped Coriander Leaves - few

Sesame Oil - 2 tsp 

Method 

1. For Shrimp Marinate 

In a bowl, add shrimp pieces along with turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and lemon juice. Marinate well and let it for 15 to 20 minutes.

2. For Shrimp Curry 

Heat oil in a pan. Add vadagam and fry for few seconds. Then add curry leaves & green chilli, fry for few more seconds.

Add chopped onions and fry until color changes. Then add marinated shrimp and fry 2 to 3 minutes.

Add tomatoes and fry until it gets mushy. Add all veggies ( potatoes, eggplant, bottle gourd, drumsticks) sauté it for few more minutes.

Now add curry powder and mix well. Then add tamarind water , rice water and water if you needed liquid consistency of kuzhambu. Mix well.

Let’s close the lid and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Then switch off the flame.

Serve with hot steamed rice/ idli/ dosa

3. For Great Taste

Finally add chopped coriander leaves and sesame oil

Mustard Chutney

 This is another simple chutney recipe where I learnt from my Mom. It’s a spicy, tangy and kind of sweet chutney. This goes very well with idli, dosa and curd rice.


Ingredients 

Sesame Oil - 1 tsp 

Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp 

Dry Red Chilli - 10

Hing - 1/4 tsp 

Jaggery - a small piece 

Tamarind - little 

Salt - as required 

To Temper 

Sesame Oil - 2 tsp 

Curry Leaves - few

Chopped Coriander Leaves - few 

Dry Red Chilli - 1 (broken)

To Taste 

Sesame Oil - 2 tsp 

Method 

Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, dry red chilli and hing.

Fry everything for 1 to 2 minutes on low flame.

Switch off the flame and add a small piece of Jaggery. 

Then add required salt and let it completely cool down completely.

Once it done transfer the roasted ingredients into mixie jar.

Add required water and grind it as paste.

Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add the tempering ingredients and sauté it for few seconds.

Transfer the ground chutney and give a nice mix. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes on low flame.

Finally add sesame oil and switch off the flame then serve hot with steamed idli or dosa.

Mirakapaya Kodi Vepudu

Kodi vepudu is a delicious spicy Andhra chicken fry made with a special vepudu masala and served with hot steamed rice, chapatti, roti & dosa.


Ingredients 

To Cook Chicken 

Boneless Chicken - 1 kg

Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp 

Salt - little 

Water - very little 

For Chilli Paste 

Dry Red Chilli - 20

Hot Water - 1 Cup 

For Chicken Curry 

Ghee - 1 tbsp 

Finely Chopped Onion - 2 Cups | 2 Big 

Ginger Garlic Paste - 3 tsp 

Chopped Tomato - 1 (medium)

Salt to taste 

Garam Masala -  1 tsp 

Chilli Powder - 1 tsp 

Coriander Powder - 2 tsp 

Lemon - 1/2 

Salt - little 

To Temper 

Ghee - 1 tbsp 

Dry Red Chilli - 4

Cashew & Almonds - few

Curry Leaves - few 

Method 

For Chilli Paste 

Take a bowl, add dry red chillies and put some hot water. Let soak it for 10 to 15 minutes. Then grind it as fine paste and keep aside.

To Cook Chicken 

Heat a pan/kadai, add little water along with turmeric powder, salt along with chicken pieces and mix well. Then cook it for 5 to 10 minutes.

For Chicken Curry 

Heat a Pan, melt ghee. Add chopped onions, fry until it color changes. 

Add ginger garlic paste, chopped tomatoes and cook until it becomes mushy.

Add this onion tomato masala into boiled chicken curry.

Now add garam masala, chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and mix everything well. Add ground chilli paste and mix well.

Add ghee and give a nice mix. Let’s cook for 5 more minutes. 

In a pan, melt ghee. Add dry red chilli, curry leaves, cashew nuts and almonds and fry for few seconds.

Transfer the tempering to chicken curry and squeeze juice from lemon and add it. Then give a mix and switch off the flame .

Serve hot with steamed white rice, chapatti or roti.

Varutha Fish Curry | வறுத்த மீன் குழம்பு | CWC Baba Master’s Top Notch Recipe

Varutha Fish Curry is a simple and easy fish Curry.  In this dish, fish fillets are marinated with Indian spices and slightly fried in oil. Then we have to prepare some curries using onions & tomatoes and finally add fish fillets in this tangy & spicy gravy. I learned & tried this recipe from the famous TV show ( Cook with Comali). It came out really well. You should try and share your comments.



Ingredients 

To Fish Marinate 

Fish Fillets - 8

Kuzhambu Powder | Curry Powder - 1 tbsp 

Salt to taste 

Fennel Powder - 1 tsp 

Tamarind Water - 2 tbsp

Curry Leaves - few

Oil - little 

Fish Curry 

Sesame Oil - 1/4 Cup 

Vengaya Vadagam | Thaalippu Vadagam  | Karivadagam - 1 tsp 

Curry Leaves - few

Finely Chopped Onion - 1 Cup 

Salt to taste 

Crushed Garlic - 1 tbsp 

Crushed Ginger - 1 tbsp 

Chopped Tomato - 2 

Jalapeño | Green Chilly - 2 to 3

Curry Powder - 1/4 cup 

Tamarind Water - 1 Cup 

Water - 2 Cup

Chopped Raw Mango - 1 (medium)

Jaggery - 1/2 tsp 

Sesame Oil - 1 tbsp 

Chopped Coriander Leaves - few 



Method 

In a clean bowl, add fish fillets. Then add curry powder, fennel powder, tamarind water, curry leaves and little oil. Then mix it well. Let it marinate for about 20 to 30 minutes.

Heat a pan, add 1/4 cup sesame oil. Once it done, add the marinated fish fillets one by one and fry slightly on both sides for about 2 minutes (Do not fully cook)

Transfer the fried fishes into a plate and keep aside. In the same pan, add 1 tsp of karivadagam. Once it splutter, add some curry leaves, add chopped onions and fry until gets golden brown in color.

Add required salt, crushed garlic, crushed ginger and mix everything well.

Now add chopped tomatoes, let’s cook until it becomes mushy.

Once it done, add jalapeño. Then add curry powder and give a nice mix. 

Add tamarind water,  required water and mix it, then close the lid and cook for about 10 minutes.

Now add cut pieces of Mango, fried fish fillets and cook just for 5 minutes. Oil separates from the fish curry.

Add 1/2 tsp Jaggery, sesame oil, and chopped coriander leaves then give a slight mix and switch off the flame. 

This goes really well with steamed white rice/ idli/ dosa.

Salsa Con Queso Mac and Cheese

There’s also great comfort in a nice bowl of macaroni and cheese. It’s really simple to prepare. you really just whip up an easy cheese sauce with grated cheese and then stir in some veggies along with cooked Macaroni pasta.

Ingredients 

Cooked Macaroni - 2 Cups / 250g 

Finely Chopped Onion - 1/2 Cup 

Finely Chopped Green Capsicum - 1/4 Cup 

Finely Chopped Red Capsicum - 1/4 Cup 

Salt to taste 

Finely Chopped Cilantro - 1/2 Cup 

Salsa Con Queso - 2 tbsp 

For Egg Mix 

Eggs - 2

Paprika Powder/Chilli Powder - 1 tsp 

Salt to taste 

Italian Seasoning - 1/2 tbsp 

Method 

 Break two eggs in a bowl. Add required salt, paprika  powder, Italian seasoning and beats everything well. Once it’s done, keep aside.

Heat a pan, melt butter. Add finely chopped onion, green and red capsicum, and sauté it well.

Add required salt and chopped coriander leaves, then give a nice mix.

At this stage, add cooked macaroni pasta and mix well. Drop the egg mix and sauté it for few minutes. 

Add salsa con Queso dip and mix well. Then add Parmesan cheese and switch off the flame.

Serve yummy and delicious salsa dip Mac and cheese pasta is ready to serve!

Pepper Crab

This is a delicious crab recipe which is light, but bursting with flavor and taste. Crab pepper masala is a delicious sea food recipe, everyone falls in love with the taste of the crab, This dish gives a good relief for those suffering from cold, sore throat. 


While the curry leaves infused a spicy flavor into the crab, the black pepper gave it a kick with its aromatic peppery notes. 

Ingredients

Crab - 1/2 kg (Washed, Cleaned and Chopped )

Finely Chopped Onion - 1/2 Cup

Curry Leaves - few

Chopped Chilli - 2

Chopped Coriander Leaves - few

Sesame Oil - 2 tbsp

Vengaya Vadagam/ Thaalippu Vadagam - 1 tsp

For Roast 

Sesame Oil - 1 tsp

Peppercorn - 2 tbsp

Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp

Dry Red Chilli - 4

Coriander Seeds - 1 tbsp

Chopped Ginger - 4 ( small pieces)

Peeled Garlic - 4 pods

Shallots | Chopped Onion - 1 Cup

Chopped Tomato - 1 ( medium)

Mint Leaves - a handful

Ground Masala 

Roasted Ingredients

Salt to taste

Fennel Powder - 1 tsp

Water - little

Method

Heat a pan, add sesame oil. Add the ingredients which are under “for roast”one by one and sauté it well. 

Once it done, let it cool down completely and transfer this into mixer jar. Add required salt, fennel powder and little water then grind it as fine paste and keep aside.

Heat sesame oil in a pan, add venkaya vadagam, curry leaves, chilly, and chopped onions and fry until changes color slightly brown.

Then add crab pieces and fry in oil for 2 minutes. Then close the lid and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the ground masala and mix it for few minutes and add little water and close the lid, cook for 7 minutes or until gets thick masala consistency. 

Yummy, flavorful and tasty crab pepper masala is ready to serve with steamed white rice/ ghee rice/ idli / dosa.

Hershey Chocolate- 1 Cup

Milk Chocolate - 1/2 Cup

Butter - 1 tbsp

Method

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Grease the baking tray with melted butter.

In the same pan, add any milk chocolates.

Arrange the marshmallow over the top chocolates.

Once the oven is preheated, bake it for about 10 minutes.

Turn off the oven. Serve hot with pretzel, strawberries, Oreo cookies, vanilla wafers, apple slices, chocolate wafer or gingersnaps.

Fish Masala Fry with Chickpea Flour 🐟 | Besan Fish Fry | Gram Flour Fish Fry | கடலைமாவு சேர்த்து செய்யும் அருமையான மீன் மசாலா 

 Fish Fry is a simple and quick dish. Normally I do South Indian style Fish Fry or Fish Varuval as it's called but this time I tried it something different and added besan (chickpeas flour) and other spices to make this fish fry in Northern style as it's called Besan Ki Fish Fry or Besan Ka Macchi.


Ingredients 

Fish Fillets - 6 pieces 

Besan | Chickpea Flour | Gram Flour - 2 tbsp 

Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp 

Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp 

Ground Pepper - 1/2 tsp 

Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp 

Coriander Powder - 1 & 1/2 tsp 

Salt to taste 

Tamarind Water - 1 tbsp 

Oil - 2 tbsp 

Water - little 

Whiting Fish - 6 Fillets  (any fish)

For Fish Masala 

Olive Oil - 2 tbsp 

Butter - 1 tbsp 

Finely Chopped Onion - 1/2 Cup 

Finely Chopped Capsicum - 1/4 Cup 

Boiled Potato (Cubed) - 1 (medium sized)

Salt to taste 

Ground Pepper to taste 

Chilli Paste - 1 tsp 

Soy Sauce - 1 tsp 

Chopped Cilantro - few

Brown Sugar - 1/4 tsp 

Method 

Fish Marination:

Take a clean bowl. Add besan flour, turmeric powder, chilli powder, ground pepper, garam masala, tamarind water, coriander powder, salt, oil and water then mix it well. 

Make sure it doesn’t have any lumps. Add fish fillets and mix it well. Let’s marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Fish Masala 

Heat olive oil in a pan. Add fish fillets one by one. Once it done, fry well on both sides in medium flame.

Once the fish cooked well, take it out and keep aside.

Heat butter in the pan. Add chopped onions, capsicum, chopped potato, salt, ground pepper and fry everything for about 2 to 3 minutes.

Once it done, add chilli paste, soy sauce, and  chopped cilantro then mix everything well.

Then add brown sugar and give a gentle mix. Finally add the fried fish fillets . Sauté it for 2 minutes then switch off the flame.

Yummy & tasty fish masala fry is ready!

Nellai Fish Curry is tangy, spicy and tasty dish. This goes very well with steamed white rice, dosa and idli. This is an authentic fish curry recipe fresh and fragrant, that I learnt from popular Cooku with Comali Show👨‍🍳 👩‍🍳  from Vijay 📺 In that show, Kani sister tried this recipe and got good appreciation from judges. Here is the recipe.



Ingredients 

To Marinate Fish 

Fish Pieces - 8 

Salt to taste 

Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp 

For Ground Masala 

Sesame Oil - 1 tbsp 

Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp 

Coriander Seeds - 2 tbsp 

Dry Red Chilli - 10

Shallot / Chopped Red Onion - 1/2 Cup 

Grated Coconut - 1/3 Cup 

For Fish Curry 

Marinated Fish Pieces - 8

Chopped Shallots/ Red Onion - 1 Cup 

Chopped Tomatoes - 2

Sliced Garlic - 10 pods 

Chopped Raw Mango - 4 pieces 

Tamarind Water - 1 Cup 

Rice Water - 2 Cups 

Salt to taste 

To Temper 

Sesame Oil - 1/4 Cup 

Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp 

Fenugreek Seeds - 1/4 tsp 

Curry Leaves - few

Slit Green Chilli - 2

Method 

Fish Marination 

Marinate the fish pieces along with turmeric powder and little salt then keep aside for about 15 to 30 minutes. 

For Ground Masala 

Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, dry red chilli, grated coconut and onions then fry until raw smell goes well/ gets nice aroma.

Once it done, switch off the flame and let it cool down completely.

Then grind it as fine paste and keep aside.

Fish Curry 

Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add the tempering ingredients and sauté it for few seconds.

Add sliced garlic and chopped onions along with required salt, fry for few minutes.

Then add chopped tomatoes, give a nice mix, close the lid and cook until it becomes soft and mushy.

Add ground masala and fry for 2 minutes. 

Now add tamarind water, rice water and close the lid and cook for 10 minutes.

Drop the marinated fish pieces into fish curry. Cook it for 5 minutes.

Add chopped raw mango pieces and close the lid then cook for 5 minutes or until everything cooked well.

Finally add chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.

Serve yummy and tasty nellai style fish curry with steamed white rice.

This is simple yet delicious dish that is packed with flavor. Shrimp Fry made with simple and easily available ingredients. Its an awesome sea-food delicacy that makes mouth-watery of any Non-veg seafood lover. Do try this easy recipe & simply amaze everyone at home.It goes very well with plain rice, roti, bread chapatti or any variety rice.



Ingredients 

For Shrimp Marinate 

Shrimp/Prawn -  2 Cups ( Peeled, Cleaned & Washed)

Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp 

Fennel Powder - 1/2 tbsp 

Ground Pepper - 1/2 tbsp 

Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp 

Coriander Powder - 2 tbsp 

Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 tbsp 

Curry Leaves - few 

Mint Leaves - few 

Chopped Coriander Leaves - few 

Salt to taste 

Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp 

Oil - 1 tbsp

Water - little 

To Temper 

Sesame Oil - 1 tbsp 

Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp 

Vadagam - 1 tsp 

Dry Red Chilli - 2 (broken)

Chopped Coriander Leaves - few

Curry Leaves - few 

Broken Castle Nuts - little 

For Shrimp Masala 

Oil - 2 tbsp 

Finely Chopped Onion - 2 Cups 

Chopped Tomato - 1

Salt - little 

Method 

Take washed and cleaned shrimp pieces into a clean bowl.

Add all the spices along with ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, mint leaves, coriander leaves, salt, lemon juice, oil and water. Mix everything well.

Let it marinate for about 30 minutes.

For Shrimp Masala 

Heat oil in a pan,  add fennel seeds, vadagam and fry for few seconds. Then add dry red chilli, curry leaves, chopped coriander leaves and fry for few seconds.

Heat oil in a pan. Add finely chopped onion , salt and fry everything well. Add chopped tomato and fry until it becomes soft and mushy.

Now add the marinated shrimp pieces and mix well. Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes. After this done shrimp is cooked well. 

Finally transfer the tempering ingredients and give a nice mix.

Yummy and tasty Shrimp masala is ready to serve!!!

Whiting Fish Fry | Kizhanga Meen Varuval

Simple, tasty and quick fish fry. In this dish, I have shallow fried fish pieces and sautéed with onions, chilli and coriander leaves. This gives nice flavor and taste to the dish. Enjoy well 😊 



Ingredients 

Whiting Fish  | Kizhanga Meen - 6 fish ( Washed & Cleaned) 

Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp 

Chilli Powder - 1 tsp 

Garam Masala - 1 tsp 

Coriander Powder - 2 tsp 

Salt | உப்பு - little


Tamarind Water - 2 tbsp 

Oil - 2 tbsp 

Method 

Take a clean bowl, add spices (chilli powder, turmeric powder , coriander powder, garam masala ) along with salt, tamarind water and oil.

Mix well and make sure it doesn’t have any lumps. Let it marinate 1 to 2 hours. 

Heat oil in a pan. Add the fish fillets and fry both sides until gets cooked well and golden brown color.

Once we done, add sliced onions, green chilli and coriander leaves. Then sauté it well for 2 to 3 minutes and switch off the flame and serve hot.

This is another interesting recipe. In this dish, dry roast horse gram and other ingredients and grind it as paste and then cooked with other ingredients. 


I have learned it recently and tried it. This came out really well. This is one of the Cook with Comali show recipe. Hope you’ll definitely like it and enjoy your cooking 




For Dry Roast & Grind | வறுத்து அரைக்க 

Horse Gram | கொள்ளு பருப்பு - 1/3 Cup 

Coriander Seeds | மல்லி - 1 tbsp 

Dry Red Chilli | வர மிளகாய் - 7

Grated Coconut | தேங்காய் துருவல் - 1/4 Cup 

Salt | உப்பு - little 


Ingredients for Kuzhambu |

 குழம்புக்கு தேவையான பொருட்கள் 

Sesame Oil | நல்லெண்ணெய் - 2 tbsp 

Mustard Seeds | கடுகு - 1 tsp 

Curry Leaves | கறிவேப்பிலை - few

Shallot | நறுக்கிய வெங்காயம்  - 1 cup 

Tamarind Water | புளித்தண்ணீர்  - 1/2 cup 

Rice Rinsing Water | அரிசி கழுவிய நீர்  - 1 cup 

Jaggery | வெல்லம் - 1 tsp 

Salt | உப் பு - to taste 

Cilantro | கொத்தமல்லி இலை - few



Method

Heat a pan, add horse gram and dry roast until raw smell goes well. Then keep it aside.


In the same pan, add coriander seeds, dry red chilli and grated coconut and dry roast well.

Once it cools down completely, then grind it as fine paste along with wate and keep aside.

Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and fry for few seconds.

Add chopped onions along with little salt and fry for few minutes.

Then add the ground masala and sauté it for 2 minutes. 

Add tamarind water, rice rinsing water and boil it for 10 minutes.

Then add jaggery and mix well. Let it cook for another 2 minutes.

Once we get kuzhambu consistency, add chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.



Yummy and tasty arachuvitta kollu kuzhambu is ready to serve with hot steamed white rice.

Ingredients

Boiled Cassava | மரவள்ளிக்கிழங்கு - 1 large

Finely Chopped Garlic | பூண்டு - 4 pods

Finely Chopped Cilantro | கொத்தமல்லி - few

Finely Chopped Green Chilli | பச்சை மிளகாய் - 1

Chilli Powder | Paprika Powder | மிளகாய்த்தூள் - 1 tsp

Cumin | Jeera Powder | சீரகத்தூள் - 1/2 tsp

Finely Chopped Red Onion | நறுக்கிய வெங்காயம் - 1/2 cup

Olive Oil | ஆலிவ் எண்ணெய் - 1 tbsp

Lemon Juice | எலுமிச்சை சாறு - 2 tbsp

Salt | உப்பு - to taste

Method

Clean and wash a large cassava. Then chop it into small pieces. Pressure cook it until gets cooked well.

Peel the skin and mash it well. Then add finely chopped garlic, green chilli, chopped cilantro, cumin powder, chilli powder, salt, olive oil and lemon juice.

Mix everything well and make it as small patties. Then place it in a greased plate.

Heat oil in a pan. Once it done, drop the patties one by one.

Cook well on both sides. Fry patties until gets golden brown in color.

Then switch off the flame and serve hot patties with ketchup or any other 
sauce.

Perch Full Fish Fry | பனையேறி கெண்டை மீன் Fry

Perch Fish Fry|பனையேறி கெண்டை or கிளிச்சான் ிஷ் ப்ரை is very tasty and nutritious. This is really tasty spicy shallow fried fish recipe that is super easy to make. You can use fish like mackerel, rawas or Indian salmon or any other firm fish in place of perch.






Ingredients 

Perch Fish | பனையேறி கெண்டை மீன் (Washed and cleaned) - 4

Rice Flour | அரிசி மாவு - 2 tbsp 

Coconut Oil | தேங்காய் எண்ணெய் - fry 

Fresh Ground Pepper | மிளகுத்தூள்  

To grind & paste 

Dry Red Chilli | காய்ந்த மிளகாய் - 4

Peppercorn | மிளகு - 1 tbsp 

Peeled Garlic | பூண்டு பற்கள் - 10 pods

Curry Leaves | கறிவேப்பிலை - few 

Chopped Onion | - little 

Tamarind Water |புளிக்கரைசல் -1 tbsp 

Coriander Powder | மல்லித்தூள் - 2 tbsp 

Turmeric Powder | மஞ்சள்தூள் - 1/2 tsp 

Salt | உப்பு - to taste 

Oil |  எண்ணெய் - little 

Method 

Clean and wash the fish. Make slits on both sides and keep aside.

In a blender add the ingredients which are under for “to grind & paste “ and grind it as paste along with required water.

Take the fishes one by one and apply the ground masala, making sure to put into slits and cavities. Add required ground pepper, chopped curry leaves and coriander leaves. 

Then wrap with plastic cover. And refrigerate this overnight or at least 2 to 3 hours. 

Once it’s marinated well, spread rice flour on both sides.

Heat coconut oil in a pan. Make sure it is medium hot. Now carefully place the fish in hot oil and let it fry well on both sides.

Once it is done, serve hot with with sliced tomatoes and chopped coriander leaves.

Spicy Crab Masala | சுவையான காரசாரமான நண்டு மசாலா

Spicy Crab Masala Recipe is made with a thick gravy of coconut with other Indian spices. Crabs are one of the home remedies for bad cold. Here is a spicy version of crab masala to side up with Steamed white rice, idli, dosa and roti.



Ingredients 

Cleaned, Washed and Chopped Crab - 6

Finely Chopped Onion - 2 Cups ( 2 Large Onion)

Chopped Tomatoes - 2 Cups

Chopped Green Chilli -2 (small)

Oil - 2 Tbsp 

Curry Leaves - few 

For Dry Roast & Grind 

Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp 

Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp 

Peppercorn - 2 tsp 

Garlic - 6 Pods 

Grated Coconut - 1/3 Cup 

To Temper 

Sesame Oil - 2 Tbsp 

Vengaya Vadagam - 2 tsp 

Curry Leaves - few 

Dry Red Chilli - 2 (Broken)

Chopped Coriander Leaves - few 

Cashew Nuts - few

சுவையான நண்டு மசாலா செய்வதற்கு

தேவையான பொருட்கள் :


நன்றாக அலசி சுத்தம் செய்து நறுக்கிய நண்டு  - 8


எண்ணெய் - 2 tbsp 


நறுக்கிய பச்சை மிளகாய்  - 2


கறிவேப்பிலை - சிறிது


நறுக்கிய வெங்காயம்  - 1 Cup 


கழுவி சுத்தம் செய்து நறுக்கிய நண்டு  - 8


நறுக்கிய தக்காளி  - 2 Cup 


மஞ்சள் தூள்  - 1/2 tsp 


மிளகாய்த்தூள் - 2 tsp 


மல்லித்தூள் - 3 tsp 


உப்பு - தேவையான அளவு 


நண்டு மசாலா அரைக்க 


சோம்பு - 1 tsp 


மிளகு - 1 tsp 


துருவிய தேங்காய் - 1/3 Cup 


பூண்டு பற்கள் - 6 


தாளிப்பதற்கு :


நல்லெண்ணெய் - 2 tsp 


கரிவடகம் - 1 tsp 

 

முந்திரிப்பருப்பு  - few


நறுக்கிய கொத்தமல்லி - few


கறிவேப்பிலை - சிறிது

Method 

Heat a pan, add the tempering ingredients one by one and sauté it for few seconds and switch off the flame. Let it cool down completely and grind it as paste, then keep it aside.

Heat oil in pan, add green chilli and curry leaves, then fry for a min. Add chopped onions along with little salt and fry for few minutes.

Add the crab pieces and mix well, then close the lid and cook for 5 minutes.

Now add chopped tomatoes and cook until it becomes soft and mushy.

Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder and mix well.  Close the lid and cook for few more minutes. 

Add the ground masala and mix well. Let’s cover & cook for another 5 minutes.

Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add the tempering ingredients and sauté it for few seconds. Once it done, transfer this into crab masala.

Give a nice mix and serve with hot steamed white rice.

Orange Smoothie with Chocolate Syrup Swirl

Ingredients 

For Orange Smoothie 

Chopped Orange - 4

Milk - 1 and 1/2 Cup 

Brown Sugar - 2 Tbsp 

Ice Cubes - 2 Cups

For Chocolate Syrup 

Butter - 1 tbsp 

Coco Powder / Chocolate Powder - 2 Tbsp 

Brown Sugar - 1/4 Cup 

Water - 1/4 Cup 

Method 

Orange Smoothie 

Take a mixie jar/blender. Add chopped oranges, brown sugar  milk and ice cubes. Then grind it as fine paste and keep aside.

Chocolate Syrup 

Heat a pan. Add butter. Let it melt down. Add chocolate  powder and mix well. 

Then add brown sugar and water and whisk it until gets dissolved completely.

Keep stirring it for 3 to 4 minutes or until it gets right consistency.

Once it done, switch off the flame and let it cool down completely.

Once the syrup is ready, add this chocolate syrup into orange smoothie. 

Then serve this cold yummy orange smoothie with chocolate syrup swirl.
