Ingredients
For Shrimp Marinate
Shrimp/Prawn - 2 Cups ( Peeled, Cleaned & Washed)
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Fennel Powder - 1/2 tbsp
Ground Pepper - 1/2 tbsp
Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
Coriander Powder - 2 tbsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 tbsp
Curry Leaves - few
Mint Leaves - few
Chopped Coriander Leaves - few
Salt to taste
Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Water - little
To Temper
Sesame Oil - 1 tbsp
Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
Vadagam - 1 tsp
Dry Red Chilli - 2 (broken)
Chopped Coriander Leaves - few
Curry Leaves - few
Broken Castle Nuts - little
For Shrimp Masala
Oil - 2 tbsp
Finely Chopped Onion - 2 Cups
Chopped Tomato - 1
Salt - little
Method
Take washed and cleaned shrimp pieces into a clean bowl.
Add all the spices along with ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, mint leaves, coriander leaves, salt, lemon juice, oil and water. Mix everything well.
Let it marinate for about 30 minutes.
For Shrimp Masala
Heat oil in a pan, add fennel seeds, vadagam and fry for few seconds. Then add dry red chilli, curry leaves, chopped coriander leaves and fry for few seconds.
Heat oil in a pan. Add finely chopped onion , salt and fry everything well. Add chopped tomato and fry until it becomes soft and mushy.
Now add the marinated shrimp pieces and mix well. Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes. After this done shrimp is cooked well.
Finally transfer the tempering ingredients and give a nice mix.
Yummy and tasty Shrimp masala is ready to serve!!!
