Cassava Patties | Yucca Patty’s


A delicious and simple recipe that makes a great snack & appetizer. Cassava Patty’s are so good you won’t believe yourselves once you’ve tried them
.



Ingredients

Boiled Cassava | மரவள்ளிக்கிழங்கு - 1 large

Finely Chopped Garlic | பூண்டு - 4 pods

Finely Chopped Cilantro | கொத்தமல்லி - few

Finely Chopped Green Chilli | பச்சை மிளகாய் - 1

Chilli Powder | Paprika Powder | மிளகாய்த்தூள் - 1 tsp

Cumin | Jeera Powder | சீரகத்தூள் - 1/2 tsp

Finely Chopped Red Onion | நறுக்கிய வெங்காயம் - 1/2 cup

Olive Oil | ஆலிவ் எண்ணெய் - 1 tbsp

Lemon Juice | எலுமிச்சை சாறு - 2 tbsp

Salt | உப்பு - to taste

Method

Clean and wash a large cassava. Then chop it into small pieces. Pressure cook it until gets cooked well.

Peel the skin and mash it well. Then add finely chopped garlic, green chilli, chopped cilantro, cumin powder, chilli powder, salt, olive oil and lemon juice.

Mix everything well and make it as small patties. Then place it in a greased plate.

Heat oil in a pan. Once it done, drop the patties one by one.

Cook well on both sides. Fry patties until gets golden brown in color.

Then switch off the flame and serve hot patties with ketchup or any other 
sauce.
