Diamond Biscuits/Wheat Biscuits/Sakkarpara

This is simple snack dish. In this dish, wheat flour is combined with sweet and salt combined and fried in oil. You can replace all purpose flour instead of wheat flour. For healthy concerns I replaced with wheat flour. This is also one of a famous and traditional Indian sweet.
Ingredients

Wheat Flour – 1 Cup

Brown Sugar – ¼ Cup

Cooking Soda – a pinch

Ghee – 3 tsp

Salt to taste

Oil for deep fry

Method

In a cleaned big bowl, add wheat flour, salt, sugar and wheat flour. Mix well to a poori dough consistency.

Make small balls and roll them into small puris. Using diamond shaped cutter or knife, cuts small pieces in the shape of diamond.

Heat oil in a frying pan, add the cut diamond biscuits until light golden brown. Remove and drain excess oil. Store in an airtight container.

The tasty and crispy diamond biscuits are ready to serve!
