Chickpea Cutlets



Chickpea cutlet is a healthy and tasty snack. Chickpea has protein. It’s good for health. Kids love this snacks. Usually we prepare chickpea to make sundal or channa masala.

Cutlet is the most delicious Indian appetizer. If you are on a diet you can microwave it and serve it with tomato ketchup or chutney. 



It’s a unique and the taste is tremendous. I have prepared channa side dish with this cutlet. You can make any chutney or sambar with this snack.
Ingredients
Chickpea (soaked) – 2 cups
Chopped Coriander Leaves – 2 tsp
Chopped Mint Leaves - 2 tsp
Chopped Onions – 1 cup
Chopped Garlic – 5 tsp
Chopped Ginger – 3 tsp
Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Baking Soda – a pinch
Lemon Juice – 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for deep fry
Method
Wash and soak chickpea through overnight. Then add this in a blender and grind it as a paste with adding little water.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and fry for seconds.
In a big bowl, add chickpea ground paste, chopped onions, ginger and garlic, fried cumins, coriander leaves, mint leaves, chilli powder, coriander powder, baking soda, lemon juice, salt and mix well.
Then make it as any shape of cutlets and keep it in a plate.
Heat oil in a kadai, then deep fry cutlets in oil and use paper towel to remove excess oil.
Then serve with sauce or any chutney.
