Kadai Chicken is a Pakistani and North Indian dish noted for its spicy taste and
usage of capsicum. It is said that only one utensil is enough to cook this dish
and that is a karahi.

Chicken
– ½ kg
Chopped
Onions – 3 (big)

Capsicum – 1

Powder – 1 tsp

Ginger
Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Kadai
Masala – 3 tsp
Turmeric
Powder – ½ tsp

Red Chilli – 2
Salt
to taste

Cream – 2 tsp
For Kadai Masala
Fennel
Seeds – ½ tsp
Cumin
Seeds – 1 tsp
Coriander
Seeds – 1 tsp
Pepper
Corn – 1 tsp
Dry
Red Chilli – 6
Fenugreek
Leaves – ½ tsp
Method
For Kadai Masala
Heat
a pan add the ingredients which are under for kadai masala, dry roast these
ingredients, add fenugreek leaves and toss it transfer in to a plate and cool
it down make into a coarse powder.
Heat
oil in a pan add cumin seeds, red chilli, chopped onions, salt, turmeric, cook
till onions are brown,
Add
ginger garlic paste, add chicken pieces mix it and put the lid on and cook for
15 minutes, after that add kadai masala, chilli powder, chilli paste,
Then
mix it well, cook it for some time and add tomato puree, mix this and cook it
for 7 to 10 minutes and add onion dice, capsicum dice, mix it,
Add
cream, kasoori methi, chopped coriander and add left over kadai masala mix this
and switch off the flame.
