Chicken Manchurian is an awesome,
truly enticing stir fry dish where the batter coated chicken is nicely fried. Manchurian
is an Indo-Chinese starter. It can also be served as a side dish of any main
dish.
We
love this recipe, it’s really awesome. You can use this Chicken Manchurian for
bread sandwiches.
It
goes very well with fried rice, roti, chapatti, Jeera rice, pulav, biryani and
any meals.
Ingredients
Boneless Chicken pieces – ½ kg
Salt - to taste
Pepper - 3 tsp
Eggs - 2 no
All-purpose flour – 1 cup
Corn-starch – 1 cup
Oil as needed
Cashew nuts - 10 nos
Finely Chopped Garlic – 3 tsp
Finely Chopped Ginger – 3 tsp
Finely Chopped Onions - 2 (big)
Chopped Green chillies - 10 nos
MSG - pinch
Soya sauce - 2 tsp
Chilli paste - 2 tsp
Tomato Ketchup – 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Finely Chopped Spring Onions - 2 tbsp
Chopped
Bell Peppers – 1
Chopped
Capsicum (Red) – ¼ cup
Chopped
Capsicum (Green) – ¼ cup
Chopped
Coriander Leaves - few
Method
In a bowl, add chicken pieces, ginger garlic paste, little salt, pepper powder, broken egg and mix well. Let it be for 10 to 15 min.
In a plate, put all-purpose, corn starch, mix well and add the chicken pieces and coat well. Brush very little oil the chicken pieces.
In a kadai, heat oil. Add all chicken pieces and fry till the chicken cooked well and becomes tender.
In a pan, add very little oil, few cashew nuts and slightly saute to color them.
Add finely chopped garlic, ginger and saute. Add capsicum, bell pepper, chopped onions and fry till they are translucent.
Add little salt, green chillies, pepper powder, MSG, soya sauce, chilli paste, little water and mix. Add tomato ketchup and mix again.
Add the fried chicken pieces and coriander leaves, toss well.
Garnish with some spring onions and serve hot.
