Stroganoff is a popular dish from Russian Cuisine. They usually prepare this dish by using chicken or beef.
Chicken Stroganoff is most commonly served with noodles, pasta, or mashed potato.
Ingredients
For Chicken Marination
Chicken Breast Pieces - 300 g
Paprika Powder - 1 tsp
Ground Pepper - 1 tsp
Garlic Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
For Chicken Stroganoff
Sliced Mushroom - 1 Cup
Chopped Onion - 1 Cup
Chopped Garlic - 4 pods
Butter - 2 tbsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Veggie Stock | Chicken Stock - 2 Cup
Sour Cream | Greek Yogurt - 1/2 Cup
Chopped Parsley | Cilantro - few
Ground Pepper to taste
Salt to taste

Method
Take chicken pieces in a bowl. Add paprika powder, salt, ground pepper and garlic powder. Then mix well. Refrigerate for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Heat oil in a cast iron. Add sliced mushroom and sauté it for 2 minutes. Then take it out and keep aside.
In the same skillet, add another tbsp of oil along with 1 tbsp of butter.
Add the marinated chicken pieces one by one and fry well.
Flip it into other side and keep cook until it gets fried well.
Once it’s done, take it out and keep aside.
In the same pan, add chopped onions and fry until it gets sautéed well.
Add chopped garlic pods and fry for a minute.
Then keep it everything in corner and make a spot at center place.
Add another tbsp of butter and melts. Then add all purpose flour.
Let’s melt it completely in butter and oil.
Then add veggie/chicken stock and mix well.
Add fried chicken pieces and mushroom and mix well.
Then add sour cream or thick Greek yogurt and combine well.
Sprinkle some pepper and required salt. Give a gentle mix.
Finally garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro.
Switch off the flame and serve hot.
This goes very well with garlic mashed potatoes or noodles.
