The paneer Sweet Pepper Fry is prepared with chunky capsicum and onion pieces saut├йed in a tomato-based masala and paneer cubes added to it.
Paneer is generally a favourite in any household. Any delicious paneer starter is a super hit, especially among children. This spicy & juicy paneer is generally popular among the vegetarians all over the world.
The soft paneer along with crunchy sweet pepper and onions cooked in a mouth-watering tomato paste spices up with splashes of masalas, making this dish a treat to the eyes and stomach. This is best served with roti, naan or rice.
Ingredients
For Tomato Sauce (Ground Masala)
Tomato - 3
Water - 1 liter
Garlic - 8 cloves
Dry Red Chilli - 8
Salt - as required
To Saut├й Paneer
Oil - 3 tbsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Cubed Red Onion - 1/2 Cup
Cubed Sweet Pepper (red)ЁЯМ╢ - 1/2 Cup
Cubed Sweet Pepper (yellow) - 1/2 Cup
Cubed Sweet Pepper (orange) - 1/2 Cup
Kasoori Methi Leaves - 1 tbsp
Method
For Tomato Sauce
Heat a saucepan, bring water to boil. Add tomatoes and close lid and cook well.
Once it done, switch off the flame. Then transfer the tomatoes into a bowl. Add cold water and peel the skins.
In a mixie jar, add peeled tomatoes , garlic, dry red chilly along with salt then grind it as smooth paste. Let it keep aside.
To Saut├й Paneer
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, let’s crack it then add cubed onions and fry for about 2 minutes or until gets golden brown color.
Add yellow sweet pepper, orange sweet pepper and red sweet pepper then saut├й it well.
Now add the tomato sauce (ground masala) and mix well. Let’s cook for few minutes.
And then add cubed paneer and mix well, close lid and cook for 2 minutes.
Once it done, add kasoori methi leaves and give a nice coating and cook for 1 more minute, then switch off the flame.
That’s it, another simple, yummy and tasty paneer sweet pepper fry is ready to serve with roti, chapatti, fried rice, ghee rice etc…
