Ingredients
For Marination
Chicken - 1/2 kg
Curd - 1/2 Cup
Salt to taste
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
For Chicken Curry
Sliced Onion - 2
Tomato - 1
For Ground Masala
Green Chilly - 4 ( based on your spice)
Chopped Ginger - 2 pieces
Peeled Garlic - 5 pods
Grated Coconut - 1/2 Cup
Mint Leaves - 1/3 Cup
Coriander Leaves - a bunch
To Temper
Oil - little
Cinnamon sticks - 1
Cardamom - 2
Cloves - 4
Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
Mint Leaves - few
Coriander Leaves - few
Method
Take a bowl. Add chicken, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, curd along with required salt. Mix well and refrigerate this for at least 1 hour.
In a blender add the ingredients one by one which are under labeled for “ ground masala “ and grind it as fine paste. Then keep it aside.
In a bowl heat oil. Add cinnamon sticks, cardamom, cloves, fennel seeds, mint leaves and coriander leaves . Sauté it for 30 seconds.
Add the sliced onions along with little salt. Fry the onions until color changes.
Then add the tomato pieces and fry until it becomes mushy.
Once it done add the marinated chicken pieces and fry 3 to 4 minutes.
Once it’s done, add the ground masala and sauté it for 1 to 2 mins.
Add little water to the blender. And mix the water and add it into chicken.
Sauté it for few minutes and close lid and keep cook for another 5 minutes.
Once it done, serve with Parotta, chapatti, naan, ghee rice and Pulav, etc…
