Spicy Crab Masala | சுவையான காரசாரமான நண்டு மசாலா

Spicy Crab Masala Recipe is made with a thick gravy of coconut with other Indian spices. Crabs are one of the home remedies for bad cold. Here is a spicy version of crab masala to side up with Steamed white rice, idli, dosa and roti.



Ingredients 

Cleaned, Washed and Chopped Crab - 6

Finely Chopped Onion - 2 Cups ( 2 Large Onion)

Chopped Tomatoes - 2 Cups

Chopped Green Chilli -2 (small)

Oil - 2 Tbsp 

Curry Leaves - few 

For Dry Roast & Grind 

Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp 

Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp 

Peppercorn - 2 tsp 

Garlic - 6 Pods 

Grated Coconut - 1/3 Cup 

To Temper 

Sesame Oil - 2 Tbsp 

Vengaya Vadagam - 2 tsp 

Curry Leaves - few 

Dry Red Chilli - 2 (Broken)

Chopped Coriander Leaves - few 

Cashew Nuts - few

சுவையான நண்டு மசாலா செய்வதற்கு

தேவையான பொருட்கள் :


நன்றாக அலசி சுத்தம் செய்து நறுக்கிய நண்டு  - 8


எண்ணெய் - 2 tbsp 


நறுக்கிய பச்சை மிளகாய்  - 2


கறிவேப்பிலை - சிறிது


நறுக்கிய வெங்காயம்  - 1 Cup 


கழுவி சுத்தம் செய்து நறுக்கிய நண்டு  - 8


நறுக்கிய தக்காளி  - 2 Cup 


மஞ்சள் தூள்  - 1/2 tsp 


மிளகாய்த்தூள் - 2 tsp 


மல்லித்தூள் - 3 tsp 


உப்பு - தேவையான அளவு 


நண்டு மசாலா அரைக்க 


சோம்பு - 1 tsp 


மிளகு - 1 tsp 


துருவிய தேங்காய் - 1/3 Cup 


பூண்டு பற்கள் - 6 


தாளிப்பதற்கு :


நல்லெண்ணெய் - 2 tsp 


கரிவடகம் - 1 tsp 

 

முந்திரிப்பருப்பு  - few


நறுக்கிய கொத்தமல்லி - few


கறிவேப்பிலை - சிறிது

Method 

Heat a pan, add the tempering ingredients one by one and sauté it for few seconds and switch off the flame. Let it cool down completely and grind it as paste, then keep it aside.

Heat oil in pan, add green chilli and curry leaves, then fry for a min. Add chopped onions along with little salt and fry for few minutes.

Add the crab pieces and mix well, then close the lid and cook for 5 minutes.

Now add chopped tomatoes and cook until it becomes soft and mushy.

Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder and mix well.  Close the lid and cook for few more minutes. 

Add the ground masala and mix well. Let’s cover & cook for another 5 minutes.

Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add the tempering ingredients and sauté it for few seconds. Once it done, transfer this into crab masala.

Give a nice mix and serve with hot steamed white rice.

Orange Smoothie with Chocolate Syrup Swirl

This Fresh Orange Smoothie Recipe is a perfect choice for a quick-and-easy drinks! Plus, it’s a healthy breakfast recipe packed with vitamin-C so not only does it taste great, it will also help you to keep feeling great!


 It’s a simple and tasty smoothie. This is really perfect when it gets swirl with chocolate syrup. I used homemade chocolate syrup. It’s taste really great. Ingredients 

For Orange Smoothie 

Chopped Orange - 4

Milk - 1 and 1/2 Cup 

Brown Sugar - 2 Tbsp 

Ice Cubes - 2 Cups

For Chocolate Syrup 

Butter - 1 tbsp 

Coco Powder / Chocolate Powder - 2 Tbsp 

Brown Sugar - 1/4 Cup 

Water - 1/4 Cup 

Method 

Orange Smoothie 

Take a mixie jar/blender. Add chopped oranges, brown sugar  milk and ice cubes. Then grind it as fine paste and keep aside.

Chocolate Syrup 

Heat a pan. Add butter. Let it melt down. Add chocolate  powder and mix well. 

Then add brown sugar and water and whisk it until gets dissolved completely.

Keep stirring it for 3 to 4 minutes or until it gets right consistency.

Once it done, switch off the flame and let it cool down completely.

Once the syrup is ready, add this chocolate syrup into orange smoothie. 

Then serve this cold yummy orange smoothie with chocolate syrup swirl.

Tangy Garlic Gravy

This Tangy Garlic Gravy is a fantastic gravy which goes very well with steamed rice, idli, dosa, chapatti & roti. It is spicy and tangy, at the same time garlic adds a lot of flavor to the gravy. It makes for a perfect accompaniment with hot steamed white rice and a generous drizzle of sesame oil.


Ingredients 

Peeled Garlic - 1 Cup 

Chopped Onion - 2 Cups 

Chopped Tomato - 2 Cups 

Sesame Oil - 1/4 Cup 

Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tbsp 

Chilli Powder - 1 Tbsp 

Coriander Powder - 2 Tbsp 

Tamarind - lemon sized ball 

Jaggery - a small piece 

Salt to taste 

Hot Water - 1 Cup 

To Temper 

Sesame Oil - 4 Tsp 

Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp 

Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp 

Fenugreek Seeds - 1/2 tsp 

Hing - little 

Curry Leaves - few 

Broken Dry Red Chilli - 2

Chopped Coriander Leaves - few

Method 

In a clean bowl, add lemon sized tamarind ball. Then add a cup of hot water. Let it soak for 10 minutes. And extract the tamarind water and keep it aside.

Heat a pan. Add sesame oil and heat it for a minute. Then add 1 cup of peeled garlic and fry for 2 minutes.

Once it done, add chopped onions along with salt, then mix it well. Close the lid and fry for few minutes.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until it becomes mushy.

Add turmeric, chilli and coriander powder then give a nice mix.

Now add tamarind water, Jaggery and mix well then close the lid and keep cook until it raw smell goes well.

Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add the tempering ingredients and sauté it for few seconds.

Finally transfer  this tempering ingredients into garlic gravy and cook for another 2 minutes. Then switch off the flame.



Serve hot with steamed white rice/idli/dosa

Healthy Black Beans Salad

 Black Bean Salad is an easy, cold lunch or side dish for your next picnic or weight loss meal. In this dish cooked black beans (soaked + cooked with little salt) mixed with some healthy veggies and fruits and then tossed with homemade dressing. If you're planning for a party, it can be helpful to make your side dishes ahead of time. This salad can be made several hours ahead and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve.


Ingredients 

For Salad Bowl 

Cooked Black Beans - 2 Cups 

Chopped Avocado - 1/2 Cup 

Finely Chopped Carrot - 1/4 Cup

Finely Chopped Onion - 1/4 Cup

Finely Chopped Cilantro - 1/4 Cup 

Finely Chopped Tomato - 1/4 Cup 

Chopped Lettuce - 1/4 Cup 

Pomegranate Seeds - 1/2 Cup

For Dressing 

Olive Oil - 1/2 tbsp 

Finely Chopped Garlic - 1 tbsp 

Orange Juice - 1/4 Cup 

Salt to taste 

Ground Pepper to taste 

Method 

In a mixing bowl, add cooked black beans along with other veggies and keep it aside.

In a bowl , add olive oil, orange juice, chopped garlic, salt and ground  pepper and mix well.

Finally add these dressing into salad bowl. Then toss well and serve fresh.

Butter Garlic Egg Noodles| சுவையான பட்டர் கார்லிக் முட்டை நூடுல்ஸ்

 Butter Garlic Egg Noodles is prepared in microwave oven and served hot with chopped coriander leaves, butter and fresh ground pepper. This is yummy and simple recipe to prepare in few minutes. Melted butter and garlic gives amazingly wonderful taste to this dish. It won’t take more than 5 minutes to ma dke this mouthwatering dish, in case if you have all your ingredients ready, I’m sure you can definitely fulfill your food craving in just 5 minutes. 

Ingredients 

Noodles - 1 cup 

Egg - 1

Finely Chopped Onion - 4 tsp 

Finely Chopped Carrot - 2 tsp 

Finely Chopped Garlic - 2 tsp 

Finely Chopped Green Chilli - 1 tsp 

Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp 

Finely Chopped Green Onion - 1 tsp 

Salt to taste 

Taste Maker - 1 pack 

Ground Pepper to taste 

Crushed Pepper - 1/2 tsp 

To Garnish 

Butter - 1 tsp 

Chopped Cilantro - few



Method

Take a microwave safe bowl. Add butter, chopped onions, green chilli, carrots, finely chopped garlic and coriander leaves then mix well.

Keep the bowl in microwave oven and cook it for 1 minute., then take it out.

Then add hot water (2 cups) into bowl. Drop the maggi pack. Take an egg. Break it and drop into safe bowl and stir well. 

Then cook it for another 2 minutes in microwave oven.

Then add taste maker, crushed pepper and mix well. Cook for 1 more minute. 

Finally add chopped coriander leaves, butter and ground pepper.

Serve hot yummy butter garlic egg noodles!!!
